 There are many reasons that have led to decide this drastic decision, the main is the high economic cost for the country to maintain the frequency modulated together with Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB), For the five million humans living in this nation, another factor would be the short range compared to DAB, reasons to leave the second option.

The process started gradually, authorities say the benefits are the possibility of installing new stations thanks to the bandwidth of this frequency and the sound quality of the transmissions.

A minority are the Norwegians happy by this process, This is because it affects millions of devices that only have FM receivers, Including private vehicles, and DAB adapters are very few available on the market and have a high cost.
